Church Services for Easter: Good Friday and Easter Sunday, 4th April, 2010

Welcome to the website of the Church of the Holy Spirit and Sunday Evening Fellowship, Vientiane, Laos: an international group of believers and seekers from many different backgrounds, sharing together the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!" (Luke 19:38)

This Easter, the CHS and SEF will be having a combined service on the evening of Good Friday, April 2nd. The service is at 6.00 pm at the ARDA Language Centre. (Click here for directions how to get there.) The service will be a remembrance of Jesus' passion in Scripture and song, based around Matthew's Gospel.
On Easter Sunday, there will be two services: a Dawn Easter service at 6.30 am, which will be taking place in the riverside garden of one of our members. (Please email us for details of how to get there.)
At 10.00 am there will be an All-Age service at the ARDA Language Centre. This, as the title suggests is a service intended to be suitable for people of all-ages. Children will remain with us for the whole service. A creche will be available for babies and toddlers.

Note - there will be no SEF service at 5pm

We look forward to seeing you on Friday and Sunday.

(*Currently the Lao Government does not permit Lao nationals to worship outwith the three recognized Lao churches. If you are a Lao national reading this and interested in finding out more about what Christians believe, you can find out more at one of the following officially recognised churches for Lao nationals: The Lao Evangelical Church, The Roman Catholic Church and the Seventh Day Adventist Church. You will find contact information for these churches in Vientiane here. Should this legislation prohibiting Lao nationals from attending other groups be lifted, we will certainly gladly participate in such changes.)
