WORSHIP RESOURCES FOR GOOD FRIDAY
There are three different
resources for use by Church of the Holy Spirit members for Good Friday.
The first is entitled
“Good Friday Devotions” and is designed as a normal form of worship, though
without a sermon. The readings are quite long and Good Friday is a day for
quiet reflection. Click here for this resource.
The second is called “The
Seven Words from the Cross” and is a longer set of reflections following the
format of a traditional form of Good Friday service, commonly running from noon
to three in the afternoon, based on brief readings followed by guides to help
reflection, with time to consider the issues in silence, before concluding with
common prayers and moving to the next point. Click here for this resource.
The third is a link to a folder of All-Age resources primarily aimed at families with children. In the folder are a series of PDF files for you to print out and use. Five are based on "Jesus words from the cross". There is also a PDF file based on a Bible reading (Mark 15:16-39) and one to help you make an Easter garden. Click here for this resource.

Lord of life and power,
through the mighty resurrection of your Son,
you have overcome death and opened the gate of everlasting life.
