Welcome to the website of the Church of the Holy Spirit, an international group of believers and seekers from many different backgrounds, sharing together the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Please go to our Visitor's Information page for service details including information about our Sunday School program and Child Protection Policy.
The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is good to all;
he
has compassion on all he has made.
All
your works praise you, Lord;
your
faithful people extol you.
They tell of the glory of your kingdom
and speak of your might,
so
that all people may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
Your
kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and
faithful in all he does.
The
Lord upholds all who fall
and
lifts up all who are bowed down.
Psalm 145:8-14
The lectionary readings for this fifth Sunday after Pentecost are:
Psalm: Psalm 145:8-14
Gospel: Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30
The Collect:
Almighty God,
your Son Jesus Christ
has taught us
that what we do for the
least of your children
we do also for him.
Give us the will to
serve others
as he was the servant of
all,
who gave up his life and
died for us,
but lives and reigns
with you
and the Holy Spirit, one
God, now and for ever.
Amen
